De Zeekoe situated on 2000 ha of land, offers an unique in the world experience, to walk with wild meerkats. This conservation project on wild meerkats / suricates, part of the other "shy five", occur naturally in this Klein Karoo Valley. This is an unique attraction for guests who have watched the meerkat films over the last 12 years, with the BBC, National Geographic and the Discovery Channel. Breakfast is served from 7:30am to 10:00am everyday in the Breakfast room (second floor, poolside).

Towels in rooms
Please help us keep our beautiful environment safe and clean…should you wish to have the towels in your room washed, please leave them on the floor for us. Should you feel that you are still happy to use them, kindly leave them on the towel rails. Kindly do not remove towels from the rooms.
Swimming Pool
Please feel free to use our lovely and refreshing swimming pool when you need to cool off ... but please keep the following in mind. We do not have lifeguards on our staff, so use of the pool is at your own risk. Parents are required to accompany minor children to and at the pool area. For your safety the use of the pool is not permitted past 18:00pm in the evenings, although you are welcome to enjoy the outside pool deck facilities. Towels in the pool area are for your convenience. Please place used towels in the basket provided. Please do not remove towels from the pool area.

Each of our rooms is fully equipped with coffee and tea making facilities, as well as hairdryers.
Milk service
Knysna Terrace Guesthouse has a milkman! In the fridge of your room you will find an old-school milk bottle. Should you need milk for your coffee, tea or just to enjoy as a refreshing drink, please put the empty bottle outside your room, and our milkman will be sure to have your milk back there in time for your morning cuppa! Our milk is fresh and locally sourced from a dairy farm in the neighboring town.
Luggage Storage

What to eat?
If you feel like something nice for dinner but don't want to wander far, we recommend a lovely restaurant just across the road called Muse. A menu has been placed in your room for your convenience. Muse restaurant is fully licensed. Should you feel like venturing a little further, our town has many wonderful restaurants! Feel free to ask us about recommending a restaurant.
What to do?
The town of Knysna and surrounds has plenty of activities for everyone’s preference! Please feel free to have a look at our flyers in the reception area for an idea of what the Garden Route has to offer. Should you need any help with making arrangements for day-activities, please feel free to ask us! Also remember that Knysna is home to the famous Knysna Elephant Park, as well as many other popular animal sanctuaries.
Beaches
Our town has three lovely beaches that are not too far a drive away:
Leisure Island…a smaller beach, mostly used by families with young children and dogs
Buffalo Bay ... a larger beach, popular with surfers and families alike
Brenton-on-Sea ... also a larger beach, popular with families and those who enjoy relaxing afternoon sundowners
Should you wish to drive a little further, the famous Plettenberg Bay is a short and scenic 30min drive from here.

Ilse grows the Summerfields cut roses and the organic vegetables which make their way to your plate every day. Our roses are a constant theme at Summerfields. We place fresh roses in every room and public areas every day, we use them in the spa, on our tables and even in the food. Of course, you’re welcome to take some home with you!
